"He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again." 2Corinthians.5:15
JCD4U Church is a 501(3)(c) (IRS database). We are also registered as a church with the state of Georgia. Since 2010, our mission has been to bring Sunday church services (see livestream link). We provide spiritual encouragement, and personal care items to senior citizens isolated in nursing homes, who live alone and to others in spiritual need. We are not paid for services and do not receive any ministerial salary. Donations we receive are used solely to serve those in need.
Attending church is important for those who are confined to nursing homes. Terence and Pamela Wilson founded JCD4U Church in 2010 to meet that need. They are honored to serve as pastors at four nursing homes. Anyone may connect to JCD4U Church video service - 10:30 am every Sunday. Zoom Meeting ID: 851 7791 5024 Password: 3 Service typically includes hymn singing, devotional reading, and a sermon with Bible readings. After the service, the pastors make individual phone calls to any participant who wants private prayer.
JCD4U provides Bibles, devotional books, scripture handouts, and reading glasses for the residents on an individual basis as requested. We also provide gifts for residents and some staff for Christmas. Other activities include visiting residents in the hospital, speaking to families by phone, counseling families upon death of a resident and attending or presiding at funerals. Note - We provide all benevolent services to any nursing home resident regardless of their faith/beliefs or lack thereof. We feel it is important to show compassion to all.
During 2020 and 2021 we held remote services by video and telephone. We are back in person for Georgia residents, but we continue to provide remote services to people out-of-state We now connect to seniors in four states - Georgia, South Carolina, New York, and Tennessee. We also donate cell phones to seniors who are unable to get one from other sources.
We believe in the Triune God manifested in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and that all three persons have been eternally present, as noted in Genesis 1:26 - Let us make man in our own image.
We believe in the divine inspiration and inerrancy of the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments. We believe the Bible is a living instrument of instruction for our daily lives today (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, and bodily resurrection. We believe in His ascension to heaven where He sits on the right hand of the God. We believe in His return with all power and glory.
We believe salvation comes only through personal faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that He is the way to God the Father (John 14:6)
We believe the Holy Spirit helps us overcome human flaws, reminds us of Jesus’ teachings, and inspires us to change (1 Peter 1:15, John 14:26, Romans 8:26)
We believe one day Jesus will return gather His people. That is the blessed hope for which we should be constantly looking.
(Acts 1:11, 1Thes 4:17, Heb. 9:28, Titus 2:13)
In today's American culture and thought, the word Christian has taken on a couple of general meanings. One is more of a certain lifestyle such as going to church and following an accepted Christian moral code. However, some people who say they're Christian don't really believe everything that Christ said about himself and don't believe the Bible. The other meaning of "Christian", true to its origin, simply means to be a follower of Christ. This necessarily requires belief in what Jesus said and belief in the standards set in the Bible - a divinely inspired text that evolved from the Old Testament to the New Testament. To clarify their beliefs as distinct from cultural Christians some people describe themselves as Born again Christian or Bible believing Christian or simply Follower of Christ. Being born again is the only way of true Christianity and the only path to heaven, as Jesus Himself said, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (See the whole story in the book of John Chapter 3, Verses 2-7).
Salvation is the condition that allows a person to spend eternity with God in heaven. Therefore, people use the term "I'm saved".
The Bible says salvation only comes through Jesus Christ. His own words make it clear that HE is the only way of eternal salvation - the only path to GOD."I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:5-7. Also read Romans 10:9, Romans 5:2, Ephesians 2:18 and Hebrews 10:19-20.
Why do we need to be saved? God is so magnificently perfect, holy, pure and just, that He cannot be in fellowship with anything that goes against the standard He set for righteousness. This is a serious problem for mankind since every human has inherited a sinful nature from Adam and Eve in the world's fallen state after the Garden of Eden.
The Bible passage of Romans, Chapter 10, Verses 9-10 explains how believing in Jesus will save you, and states it very simply:
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."
If you truly believe these verses, please pray these words - or something similar:
"Father in the name of Jesus, I accept Your gift of salvation. I renounce sin and want to live for You from this day forward. I declare Jesus as Lord of my life, and I believe in my heart that Jesus rose from the dead. Therefore, I am saved. Thank You for loving me, keeping me, and saving me. In Jesus Name, Amen."
If you're unsure, please pray for God's guidance. You may also contact us at JCD4UChurch@gmail.com.
